“If I desire happiness (and humanity throughout history does nothing but kill, rob, rape, deceive for one thing: just to achieve happiness; all natural religions, philosophical currents, science do nothing but try to give man happiness on earth), then why, having recognized the Truth, don’t I run for happiness to God, who is the only true Good, Happiness, who gives me the fullness of joy, bliss, giving Himself to me in the Eucharist?”
“P.S. At the beginning of the chapter, the author promised to shed light on the given question, but did not specify what he means by this x (unknown). To shed light – is to darken, to make even more rationally incomprehensible the phenomena, realities of the spiritual world, to make them mysterious, so that the person does not settle in rational understanding, but seeks reality, indicated by words. If after reading you have questions, not a state when everything is clear, then the author has achieved his goal. Therefore, let’s think, ask, analyze, seek answers, question our experience, our perception of reality, ask: Who am I? What is the meaning of my life? Why do I live? What is the Church? What does it mean to be a Christian? What are the sacraments and do I need them? Christianity is a science of sciences, an art of arts. Therefore, naturally – every solved question generates dozens of unsolved ones. But let’s not be afraid – it’s a natural process in a healthy human being. The questions I have posed show that I am alive and are an indicator of my progress, growth in spiritual life.
So seek and you will find, knock and it will be opened to you, ask and it will be given to you, for God gives the Spirit without measure to those who ask Him (cf. Luke 11:13).”
