(IV) 12.Humility

Humility is not relaxation, laziness, sluggishness, carelessness, servility, groveling, human-pleasing, oppression… It is the fire of zeal and the bottomless depth of gentleness, meekness, secrecy, and the desire not to be known by this world (the humble often hid themselves behind the mask of foolishness for Christ’s sake – see the fools for Christ). Therefore, the humble are outwardly “quiet and meek,” but inside them burns the fire of zeal-eros for the glory of God. (“Zeal for Your house – for every person, for the deification of every created essence – consumes Me,” “I have come to bring fire (Love-Eros of the Holy Spirit) on the earth (into the essence of every created personality), and how I wish it were already kindled in the heart of every essence,” “God is a jealous God. The Spirit (Humble and Meek), who dwells in us, yearns jealously, and gives greater Grace,” “Who is weak, and I am not weak? Who is led into sin, and I do not inwardly burn?” – this is humility, God is Humility). Love is always humble (Fire-Eros). Humility is Eros, Fire that gives life, renews, and does not destroy (He only destroys and burns evil, ignorance, darkness, passions, sins, delusions, lies… everything that does not inherit the Kingdom of God, the Kingdom of Humble Fiery Love-Eros). Humility is the constant joy of the spirit (“Your joy will be complete”).

Humility is an ineffable, insatiable desire (Eros) for God, the glory of God (God’s), service to God! Humility is extreme zeal and extreme reverence, awe before the Sanctuary (the Other), before the Beloved! Humility is the zeal-fire-desire to fulfill all the will of God, it is the burning of a merciful heart, which, even if it is burned ten times a day for the love of people (and all that suffers), will not be satisfied (until someone or something suffers). Humility is the fruit-crown of virtues (good deeds), it is the state-fruit of fervent fulfillment of all God’s commandments, good deeds, that is, Love (for God and the image of God).

You say: “Father, you are telling us fairy tales, engaging in wordplay. Well, name at least one example, at least one humble person who would be simultaneously quiet, meek, and zealous like Fire, which burns, consumes everything (evil, proud, hellish).” First, let’s talk about the standard, the norm, the fullness of Humility – the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord commanded: “Learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart… I have given you (My disciples) an example (of service-love), washing your feet, that you should do as I have done…”. And what deeds did the Incarnate Divine Humility do? The Lord (gentle and humble in heart) causes a commotion in the temple: overturns the tables of the money changers, drives out the merchants, disperses the “pious” processions, the meaningless parades of priests (“and did not allow anyone to carry merchandise through the temple” – see above)… And this “sacrilege” is done by Divine Humility and Gentleness! Whoever has ears to hear, let them understand! And how did the Lord address (call) the servants of the antichrist: brood of vipers, offspring of snakes, Satanists (= your father is the devil)… Yes, yes – these “kind” harsh words were spoken by Divine Incarnate Humility and Gentleness! And when at the trial the Lord (who gave the command: if someone strikes you on one cheek – turn the other) was struck on the face, how did Divine Humility respond – did the Lord offer the offender to strike again? No, He answered: “Why do you strike Me? If I spoke wrongly, testify to the wrong; but if rightly, why do you strike Me?!” And this is how Divine Long-suffering, Gentleness, and Humility behave! You say: “Well, He is God, the Son of God, the God-man, but give us an example of such people, creatures…”. There are plenty – these are all Christians (baptized in the Holy Spirit, all Christ’s, full, each in their measure, of the Fire of the Spirit of Christ). But before giving an example of at least one Christian, I will say that the Lord Jesus is the norm, the ideal of Man, to whom all created essences are called to be like (to become godlike to God Jesus Christ by the fullness of the Holy Spirit, to become like God by Grace). Therefore, this is what humility is – the Lord Jesus Christ and all that the Lord accomplished, – and all Christians and catechumens are likened to Christ in everything (in the Holy Spirit). And from Christians, take for example the apostle Paul – look at the image of this humble, divine man, reflected in his epistles and in the Acts of the Holy Apostles; or the holy fathers, who fought against various heresies; or the martyrs, confessors, prophets… – any Christian (name me a saint, that is, a Christian, who did not act in the spirit of zeal, the fire of Christ’s Humility? There are no such saints – because whoever does not have the Holy Spirit is not a Christian!).

To humble oneself means to stand in the truth, to be courageous, prudent, wise, zealous (in good, against evil), merciful… not a slave, a flatterer, a groveler, a conformist (a self-serving opportunist), who compromises with evil, condones evil. Once again, I say, take for example the Incarnate Humility – the Lord Jesus Christ: His cleansing of the temple, or His conversations with the Pharisees, hypocrites, heretics (Sadducees), Herodians, or how the Lord stands before Pilate, etc. The apostle Paul, who, like fire, went throughout the universe, preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ, who was everything to everyone (“to the Jews I became like a Jew, to those under the law I became like one under the law…”), and at the same time led continuous harsh polemics, using harsh words (“evil dogs,” “hypocrites,” “cut off,” etc.), polemicized with the enemies of the truth, exposing their cunning, including among his own, the noble ones. This is what humility means – to be in the Truth (in the Orthodox faith) and always act with love-mercy. But the priests (who called themselves lords, fathers, teachers… – the Lord did not command this, but on the contrary…), to keep people in submission, interpreted this greatest virtue of human dignity (humility – to stand in human dignity, greatness, upright) in a satanic way and depicted (and teach-preach) humility (this most divine virtue), as darkness, ignorance, monstrous deformity, hellish poverty, the spirit of the antichrist… Humility, according to the priests’ traditions of the elders, is to be hunched over, to kiss the hands of the lords-homosexuals, and not only… to take blessings from the priest-criminals, that is, to kiss their hands (“who have not stolen anything, done no evil”), to call them fathers, teachers, lords… (contrary to God’s will: do not call yourselves fathers, lords, teachers…)! If a bishop calls white black, or vice versa, and you point this out to him, then in the opinion of the pagans, “Christians” this is a manifestation of non-humility! This is the kind of “humble” absurdity the “Orthodox” churches have reached, degenerating into heretical synagogues of the antichrist!
