I will also address one more argument, and enough of this chatter (for those who have not yet come to their senses, new arguments will not help). Supporters of war claim that great miracles happen to Christians at war (there are countless examples). Miracles with warriors, miraculous healings, miraculous rescues! Why did the elders (prophets-spirit-bearers) not prevent soldiers who came to them for prayers from going to war? Because for pagans or catechumens at the initial stage (when he is preparing to trust the Church; he has not yet trusted, has not become a catechumen, but already communicates with Christians about proclamation) war (righteous from the perspective of unilluminated by the Holy Spirit conscience; Old Testament righteousness) – is preparation for entering the school of catechumens!!! Venerable Amphilochius of Pochaev healed Ukrainian boys who fought against the invaders, defended their land and their people! War is the area of patriotism, which in turn is the vestibule (forecourt) of the school of catechumens (preparation for baptism). Therefore, the elders did not prevent going to kill, but they also did not bless (in the sense that they too are for war: war is a disaster, fratricide, which Christians know better than anyone else). And as for miracles at war, they (miracles) are addressed to pagans, so they become catechumens! A miracle at war is not God’s blessing of war, but God’s mercy, which seeks an opportunity to save each person! Whoever benefits from it, that is shown the miracle (or he becomes a participant in the miracle: healing, salvation, etc.). Sanctification of weapons is madness, insanity! But even this evil God turns to good (for example: a column of armored vehicles was shot at point-blank range and the crews of those machines that were consecrated survived!!! Or a bullet from a rifle from a distance of several meters does not pierce a bandage with a prayer (Psalm 90, 50, “Let God arise…” etc.), healing of wounds with Holy Water and others. A miracle for pagans, to strengthen them in trusting the Church, so that they finally fully trust Her. God does not leave without His loving providence for a moment every person, caring for their salvation at every moment. In the heart of hell, in the epicenter where all the forces of evil converge, – there is the Lord (to save). Returning from war, people through miracles became catechumens, learned the Mysteries of Faith, and were baptized in the Church (either by baptism or by repentance and confession) and received the Holy Spirit (this we see from the lives of many holy warriors). Many warriors talk about miracles through the prayers of the Most Holy Theotokos, St. Nicholas, or another Saint, after turning to whom the miracle happened! God turns everything to good! Everything serves Him, the main thing is for a person to at least slightly repent, at least slightly thank, and accept His service!
Method V. Let me present a brief argument. Christianity brought to the world the Gospel of the value of each individual person. The individual does not serve the whole (like a cog in a machine); instead, the individual is equal to the whole. We have said that one Christian is the Church, the community is the Church, all Christians are the Church (see Part II on catholicity)! But here, for the sake of the Nation, the State, a happy future (in the flesh, of course), it is permissible to kill (in war) thousands of people, even just one person (who is worth more than the whole world). The happiness built on someone else’s blood (and even more so, on someone else’s tears) is infernal. Every person is unique, unrepeatable, and most valuable – for Christians. Once again (as in paganism), a person is sacrificed for the Nation, for a bright future, for the sake of children and women (who are somehow supposed to be happy without their father, mother, husband – orphans, widows (or on the blood of their parents), and do not realize that they serve Satan, not God, patriots in robes and mitres, with crosses and panagias, starting from the patriarch… And how many suicides (of veterans and other people particularly affected by this evil) happen as a result of war!!!
God says: what benefit is it to you, person, if you gain the whole world (save, protect people (women, children…), fighting in a war, from evil, poverty…), but lose your soul?! Do suicides lose their souls?! The Church (pedagogically) does not conduct funerals for them, to show that suicide is a great evil (a sin unto death) and a ruin (destruction) for a person! Thousands of war veterans commit suicide!!! And the satanists in mitres and robes shout: “Truth is with us!”, “God is with us!”, “We will win!”!? Lord, have mercy and enlighten the dark godless people, who are being led to “happiness” (in hell) by satanists!
