(V) 5.Christian. Catechumen

So, the will of God is that people teach-catechize people, prepare them for baptism by the Holy Spirit, anointing by the Holy Spirit. And when the Comforter comes into the soul, the catechumen, who has become a Christian (anointed by the Holy Spirit), no longer needs teaching by people, but the Holy Spirit Himself teaches the person to pray, to know the ways of the Lord, and what the person should do to grow into the full measure of the stature of Christ (to acquire Divine Humility (Love) by Grace, which means to deify, to become a god by Grace): “But the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things” (John 14:26), “It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God’” (John 6:45), “But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth,” “The anointing you received from Him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as His anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in Him” (1 John 2:20, 27). Christians no longer need the Scriptures, they themselves are the Scriptures, the living Word of God!

**Therefore, when there is no catechism and teaching in the church, it is a catastrophe, and such churches degenerate into synagogues of Satan. The Lord removes the lampstand of this church (see Revelation 2:5: “…repent and do the first works; or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent”), meaning such a church ceases to be a church, although it may outwardly appear (with buildings, services, holidays, various consecrations, rites, priestly parades-processions) to be alive and flourishing, even quantitatively growing (60%, 65%, 70%… or these statistical (or rather fantastical) figures can be translated into millions), and even some in this church may have certain spiritual gifts, but in reality, it is dead (“…I know your works; you have a name that you are alive, but you are dead” – Revelation 3:1). How can this be understood, how can this be? Very simply: without catechism, there is no faith, and without faith-trust, there are no Sacraments (primarily baptism, without which there can be no talk of the Eucharist (the Church, the Body of Christ)), meaning no communion with the Holy Spirit, and he who does not have the Holy Spirit does not belong to Christ, is not a Christian! Yes, in these synagogues (which may call themselves Orthodox churches), people perform the rites of the Sacraments (“as if alive”), but the Lord does not perform the Sacraments (He cannot save a person without their Orthodox faith-trust, which is only a fruit of Orthodox catechism-teaching), though He very much wants to baptize each person with the Holy Spirit!), – there is flesh, but no Spirit! As if alive, but in reality dead! (By their fruits you will know them).

But what comfort is there for all people in the Gospel of Christ – God-Love always calls everyone to repentance; even if you are dead and there is nothing good in you (as, for example, in the church of Laodicea – Revelation 3:14-19), still, the Lord calls to repentance (“be zealous and repent!”). The Lord has the power to resurrect the dead, to graft the withered, fallen (into heresy, Satanism, idolatry, antichristianity…) branch back into the Body of the Church! Therefore, the Lord calls to repentance! But repentance begins with catechism-teaching! And what if everyone is blind? First of all, realize this, and then, since everyone is blind (for example, in the parish), no one leads anyone anywhere, and everyone together, holding on to each other, with fear and trembling should learn, be catechized in the Word of God from the Scriptures: the Bible and the Holy Fathers, sincerely seeking the Truth and imploring God with tears to have mercy and show the path of repentance! The Lord will very quickly give such a community (parish) the gifts of the Holy Spirit (teaching, understanding-interpretation of the Scriptures, discernment…) for ministry, by serving with which the catechumens (who receive the ministerial gifts of the Holy Spirit) will learn and teach other catechumens, and thus little by little prepare for baptism by the Holy Spirit (and when a baptized person by the Holy Spirit, that is, a Christian, appears in the parish, this will be the beginning of the resurrection from the dead of the local church; the main thing is that the Fire of the Holy Spirit lights up in at least one heart, and then this fire will quickly engulf thousands: acquire the Spirit of Peace, and around you thousands will be saved!).

The Lord gave us the commandment: seek and you will find! Seek the Truth sincerely, without any prejudices (especially denominational ones)! Whoever seeks (sincerely!) the Truth, finds It, more precisely, Christ finds him! But we will testify again and again: now no one in the Orthodox churches (for example, in Ukraine – see part III) teaches, catechizes (we do not take into account exceptions where at least some attempts are made; an exception always confirms the rule (hence its name “exception”)), moreover, they do not even feel the need for catechism, teaching (mostly they do not even think about it): neither “pastors” nor “flock”!?
