(I) 10.Good Deeds

‘Everyone who commits sin is a slave of sin’. To heal – is to free from the cause of the disease – from sin! A slave makes someone free!? The one who perishes – saves someone!? The

poor, who have nothing (except dreams, which will also be taken from him: ‘even what he thinks he has will be taken away’ – a terrible phrase indicating an even more terrible spiritual state)–generously distributes!?

You say that God will not allow me to harm someone with my ‘good’ deeds, those who accept this ‘good’ with faith in God and hope in Him!? Did Eve want Adam harm when she gave him to eat from the forbidden fruit?! Did Adam wish himself harm when he gratefully accepted and consumed this ‘gift’? (This about ‘healers’ who wish ‘good’ and those who accept and want that ‘good’ – from dubious ‘miracle-workers’ or spirits-demons!). God did not grab Adam or Eve by the hand, did He not know how these adventures would end for them; did He not know that they would suffer, be tormented (Yes, in God’s plans was the story of struggling with sin, but we are not talking about that now). Yes, He warned, and gave freedom of self-determination. Did the one who expelled a demon from a man, into whom then entered seven fiercer, do evil; did he not want good for this man, did he not expel from compassion and sympathy for this demon?! And the one who allowed the demon to be expelled from himself, did he not want good for himself?! And the Lord says it became worse than before (both for the ‘exorcist’ and the ‘healed’)! Did not the Lord see the finale of this ‘benevolence’ – that harm would come to both?! These questions we ask and do not understand how to resolve them! And this impotence comes from not knowing the elementary truths of Orthodox theology about God, freedom, man, as the image of God, God’s providence (economy, the construction of salvation), free will… and knowledge of the simplest (most obvious) laws of spiritual life. We have heard such a word as ‘indulgence’ (but is such a form, without explanation, appropriate?) and we interpret it as pagans like this: ‘Ah, so! Here you go!’. And this madness, we impose on God, who is Love and only Love. God does not want evil – He wants all people to be saved, – man himself chooses evil! And God heals and saves, and calls free, god-like (potentially) beings – do not do evil to yourselves!!! Do not make yourselves fathers, teachers, doctors, saviors – you have one Christ, Doctor, Teacher!

You have nothing to fear, if you are a zealot of good, as the apostle says – no ‘healer’, ‘benefactor’ will ‘help’ you (i.e., do evil)! The main thing is that we ourselves do not do evil, including allowing ‘benefactors’ to ‘do good’ to us and accepting such ‘good’. Be wise – because now there are many various kinds of ‘benefactors’: ‘teachers, elders, doctors, saviors, helpers’ – and all of them with ‘love’ (even for free!!!) want to make you happy! Did Satan wish man evil when he showed the way to deification (you will be like gods), to happiness!? Discern spirits!!!

When a person falls into the hands of a foolish blind doctor and entrusts himself (foolishly, irresponsibly) to this person, about whom he knows nothing and he harms her health, then to justify her ignorance, she says that it is all God’s will!

No, not everything is God’s will, far from it! (We speak pedagogically now). Not to all circumstances of God’s providence should we respond – ‘yes’! The Lord at the trial before the high priest was struck in the face. The Lord did not turn the other cheek, thereby saying that this should not be the way it turned out. What they did to Him – hitting Him in the face – this is God’s providence, a situation created for the Lord, a task he had to solve, and he excellently solved it by saying ‘no’ to the course of events laid down in the condition (see above God’s providence, and conclusions). So not everything that unfolds around us – should be that way; a competent Teacher, sometimes intentionally makes mistakes in formulating a task, through which the task becomes absurd, unsolvable. For example, how many meters in a kilogram? The task is wrong, so you need to correct the teacher and ask to formulate it correctly – how many grams in a kilogram? Or: what is God? – Not ‘what?’, but

‘Who?’ – need to correct, and then give an answer, or say that the task has no solutions! Solving the tasks of God’s providence, you need to know that the answer may be ‘no!’. Those who always say ‘yes’ – they go with the flow – dead, and those who can say ‘no’ – are a sign of some life, because only the living move against the current! Learn to say ‘no’ (to ‘healers’, ‘teachers’, ‘saviors’ whom the Lord allows to ‘help’ you, to do you ‘good’ – these are tasks of increased complexity, solve them under the guidance of the Church), naturally coming from the positions of Orthodoxy, not egotism. God wants all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth, but there are those who in this form of existence perish, do not come to the knowledge of the truth, despising all the lessons of Divine pedagogy (God’s providence) and dwelling in the delusion of untruth, neglecting the truth, that is, they choose not the Light of Truth, but the darkness of lies and untruth, whose father is the devil. All who do not seek the truth – are from the devil (Protestants and Catholics primarily – do not stand in truth, and what’s worse, do not seek it: the first do not need it – believe as you wish, and the second the same, because they have the truth in the person of the ‘infallible’ pope, so they live in the heresy about the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of TRUTH; of the unbaptized pagans we do not speak – the outsiders God judges).
