(I) 10.Good Deeds

Holy Fathers said to one: ‘Endure!’, and others they prayed for, healed, and cast out demons! And this senseless blind man, whether necessary or not, takes on healing (or asks a cruel God for healing, intercedes before him for the suffering: himself has not paid the unpaid debt to the master, but asks that the master forgive another’s debts, not his own!?), casts out demons! If the patient is providentially ill or possessed—what he needs is one thing, to strengthen the will in endurance, but here they begin not to affirm in endurance, but on the contrary, encourage to fight and promise help in the fight against this disease or demon!? And when the patient himself with such ‘misfortune’ turns for help and ends up not with the Father, who affirms, in this case, in endurance (so the spirit may be saved! The outer man perishes, but the inner is renewed…), but with a senseless blind man, who immediately spurred by ‘senseless love’, ‘mercy’ takes on to treat (or cast out a demon; one possessed by a demon wants to cast out a demon—a sad spectacle) providential disease (well, he doesn’t even know about such), which cannot be healed, however much he wanted. Apostle Paul in the third heaven prayed for healing of himself from a disease, a thorn of Satan (from a kind of possession)—and was taught by the Holy Spirit that it was not beneficial for him to be healthy and Paul understood that this disease should not be fought against.

“It must be accepted as joy, as an ineffable gift from God for salvation, as healing medicine from the Lord against pride – the cancerous tumor of humanity, which even Paul was afflicted with! Yes, it cannot be cured! And what about the tree that was cut down in the parable – after all, it was cut down! Remember, a parable has one central point, and everything else is just decoration! In the previously mentioned context, we talked about the consequences of ‘help’ for two ‘zealots of good’! But in this context, we are discussing one of the aspects and mechanisms of harm from this nonsense – that is, we are explaining to the mind why ‘doing good’ should not be done.

What could possibly go wrong when both the ‘doctor’ and the ‘patient’ want and try to heal a deliberate illness?! A deliberate illness-symptom (and a demon) cannot be cast out, but an illusion of health can be created – and then it’s worse than before! People do not descend from the cross – they are taken down from it! But one can struggle off the cross instead of repenting! When a person needs to endure and say: according to my deeds and not struggle off the cross, not to blaspheme God secretly and openly for cruelty, unmercifulness – this is one setting of the spirit – salvific, the end of which is ‘Today you will be with Me in paradise’. And you, foolish ‘healer’, say: let me take you off the cross (or help you come down; instead of saying – endure), and driven by ‘compassion and love’ you rush to help! And this foolish ‘bearer of the cross, sufferer’ filled with hope and dreams of health (and good deeds, which he will do when healthy!?) begins to help the ‘savior’ to take him off the cross!? This is the state of the left-hand thief – a state of hellish blasphemy, into which they lead each other, the ‘healer’ and

the ‘sufferer’, one with the desire to help, the other to accept this help. And the poor souls do not hear and do not see what

they do under the dictation of Satan: ‘Come down from the Cross’ (More details in Part II).

And here they undertake to treat, to expel demons – without knowing what it is! The blind man has one goal – to heal and to heal, – he knows no other perspective. The deliberate demon – might flee, be frightened (someone might alarm it) – and everyone will think: finally! But in reality, both of them – the patient (who strongly wanted to be healthy and allowed the blind man to treat him) and the ‘doctor-healer’ – have prepared worse torment for themselves. One demon binds with even greater torments – seven enter, and it becomes worse than before. And the other demon, the demon of pride, which was in him, gaining more power over him through this, takes him in strong grips and leads to the abyss of madness! And all with ‘love’! With a ‘compassionate heart’! A sad spectacle: the egoist – mercies; the sinner, who does not see sin – loves; the proud show humility. Thus the demon plays with foolish people, who know neither Christ nor the correct spiritual life! The blind lead the blind… And here the blind with ‘love’ performs surgery! God is against it, yet he heals, ‘helps’! ‘Thy will be done, Father’ and at the same time dictates to God what His will should be – a whole list of demands – to heal, to have mercy, to expel the demon… – blindness, foolishness, soul-destroying acting! ‘If you abide in My word, then you truly shall be My disciples; and you shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free’ – said the Lord, to those who believe in Him. To abide in the word of Christ – is to be in the doctrine, at the center of which is the Eucharist – He Himself! And people who do not know either the word of Christ, much less Christ himself, do not live a parochial, Eucharistic life, do not know the elementary laws of spiritual life – dream that they have gifts, including healing! Comments are unnecessary. The heart breaks, seeing how Satan destroys souls unestablished and untaught. Good if you can still snatch from the clutches of Satan – when it’s still possible to reach the mind, not yet destroyed by pride, and at least, make the ‘wonder-worker’ doubt his gifts and practices.
