Let us remind you what the rite of water baptism means (see previous parts). To baptize with water is a pagan custom-ritual. The essence of this ritual-rite was to testify to the belonging of something (some thing or a slave, who was also considered a thing) to someone. To be baptized in the name of someone means to become the property of the one in whose name you are baptized. Pagans baptized everyone and everything. For example, Ivan wants to buy himself a slave. He goes to the slave market (where slaves are sold) and buys himself a slave. The slave becomes Ivan’s property from the moment Ivan hands over the money (pays the price) to the previous owner (master), that is, already at the market, after the financial procedures of buying and selling, the slave belongs to Ivan, he is his property (already Ivan can do whatever he wants with the newly bought slave – it is his “thing”). Then Ivan takes this slave to his house, after which the rite of baptism (immersion) in water (in special baptisteries or other bodies of water) in the name of Ivan is performed over this newly bought slave (the slave “new name of the slave” is baptized in the name of Ivan), which symbolized (immersion in water) death to the past life of slavery to the previous master and (coming out of the water) birth into a new slavery to the new master Ivan. The slave was given a new name (he had no right to respond to the old one), new clothes (the old clothes were burned) – a new life (new slavery) began for the slave. After water baptism, slaves were branded, stamped (sealed), which testified to whose slave it was (each slave owner had his own brand, stamp, emblem). (The Jews also baptized with water; remember the baptism of John the Baptist). Christians took this pagan rite and filled it with Christian meaning: it testified not to earthly slavery, but to “slavery” to Jesus Christ, the Triune God (they are baptized in the name of Jesus Christ, in the name of the Most Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit; “the servant of God ‘name of the catechumen’ is baptized in the name of the Father! and of the Son! and of the Holy Spirit!”) and a brand, sign, seal (“the seal of the gift of the Holy Spirit”) is set – the sign of a Christian, the brand of a slave of Christ (by the presence or absence of which everyone can know whose slave he is, to whom this slave belongs: to Christ or to the antichrist, to God or to the devil, is he a slave of the Spirit or a slave of sin, sinful flesh?!) – it is the Holy Spirit, the grace of the Holy Spirit, the presence of the fruits of the Holy Spirit (“If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His, not a Christian!”, “By this all will know that you are My disciples (My slaves), if you have (in your hearts My seal, My brand) love (if you are in the Holy Spirit) for one another”)!!! (The Church took religious pagan rites and filled them with new content – those rites-forms point to another ontological reality, testify (that the Sacrament of the New Testament, the Marriage with the Lord Jesus Christ, has been accomplished (not will be accomplished, but has been accomplished!) about new birth-resurrection into the slavery of Divine Love, Freedom, Truth, Bliss…).
So, by water baptism (and the rite of laying on of hands by the apostles or anointing with holy chrism) the Church testifies to the Sacrament accomplished by God, the baptism of the catechumen by the Holy Spirit! That is, in the process of catechism, the catechumen is baptized by God the Holy Spirit (the Sacrament is accomplished only by God in His time!), which the Church testifies by the rite of water baptism of the catechumen (who is already a Christian!!!) in the name of Jesus Christ and sealing, branding (laying on of hands or anointing with chrism: “the seal of the gift of the Holy Spirit”). A birth certificate (or a marriage certificate, a certificate of successfully completed education and passed exams…) is issued after birth (or in the process of birth in extreme cases when someone is in a hurry, for example, to receive money from the state (aid) for the newborn child; or when the last grade is put in the certificate and here they immediately issue a diploma, which certifies that its owner is a specialist, master in such and such discipline…), but never before birth (before the completion of education and exams…)! Formalities (documents, certificates, rites of sacraments) testify to what has been accomplished, what is already in the past, what is a fait accompli (was born – received a birth certificate, got married (promised love-faithfulness to each other) – here is your marriage certificate, reached a certain age – received a citizen’s passport, completed education – received a diploma, etc.). Therefore, a slave is already the property of the Lord (after the purchase-sale), even before any formalities – rites of baptism-branding-sealing! Not first they baptize and brand-seal, and then buy into slavery; first, the fait accompli: such and such is already my slave, and then it remains to inform all others (with formalities, rites of baptism-branding), that such and such is the property of such and such a Lord! And the rites of baptism-branding exist to testify to others that this is my property, the property of the master in whose name the slave is baptized! Regardless of whether the rite of baptism-branding is performed or not, the slave is in any case the property of the master who bought him. (Reality (slavery, belonging to someone) and the rite (baptism-branding) – indication of this reality – are absolutely independent; reality does not depend on rites-indications, on names). So in the Church – the Sacrament, which is performed only by the Lord God, does not depend on any rites-formalities, the task of which is to testify to others (Christians) about the accomplished Sacrament (Marriage between God and man!)! The catechumen in the process of catechism is baptized by the Holy Spirit, which the Church, informed by the Holy Spirit, testifies to others by the rite of baptism-anointing with chrism!!! The catechumen even before the rite of baptism voluntarily became a slave of Christ (“I am the Lord’s servant, let it be to me according to Your word, let Christ live in me”), is already baptized by the Holy Spirit, is already Christ’s, is already a Christian!!! And not the other way around! Otherwise, there will be great deception, to judgment and condemnation: a person has not yet become a Christian (has not even begun to prepare for baptism, has not become a catechumen), and is already called a Christian (and even has already been entrusted with the ministry of a patriarch, metropolitan, presbyter…); has not yet been born, has not even been conceived in the womb, and has already been issued a certificate (just listen-think about the severity of deception: to issue a birth certificate even before conception!? Baptism is conception from God! How can the rite of “conception certificate” be performed before conception! No mutual intimacy-trust in God, in Jesus Christ, and already issued a certificate of baptism (of birth)!? Only to judgment and condemnation, to deception-prelest) and entrusted with responsibilities (the performance of which presupposes the presence of experience, knowledge, skills); has not even begun to study, and already received a diploma and was directed to work, entrusted, for example, to perform operations, or to transport people, or to manage responsible processes, on which the well-being and life of millions of people depend, etc. (We above testified about the terrible catastrophe, deception, heresy: when children-infants (over whom pagan priests-sacrificers perform formalities – the rite of baptism-anointing) are called Christians, while they (primarily, all unconscious) have not even begun to prepare for baptism (unconscious children (who cannot consciously say to Christ: “I am Your slave, let it be to me according to Your word”) can never be Christians! Christianity begins with a conscious: “Yes!” to God Jesus Christ!)! This is a complete catastrophe – the fruits of this diabolical deception are obvious even to those blind from birth!
