(V) 11.God’s Providence

So, whether someone stole 5 billion UAH from you or gifted you 5 billion UAH – it’s one and the same (equivalent) from the perspective of the Person-Love-Eternity! A person chooses how to react to events, reality: can react to everything (whatever happens – from the perspective of Eternity, all events have the same weight, value!) as if she was gifted 100 billion UAH (or if you want: the Kingdom of God; that each moment is the fullness of the Godhead, Bodily gifted to you – if you want, you can also rejoice in this Humble-Blissful Divinely every moment – as you wish – you are free!); or can react to everything as if she was hellishly deprived, robbed to the bone, and therefore “poor me, unhappy” – as you wish, so you react – you are free. So choose better – choose Heaven, Eucharist (that you are Divinely Loved every moment!), the Kingdom of God! So, you had something very valuable stolen, you lost something very valuable – it’s the same as if you were gifted this valuable thing, that you acquired it – so choose for yourself how to relate to the situation (you can be sad because it was stolen, you lost, or you can rejoice as if you acquired, received a gift! The same as with death (birth) – the event (death-birth – see part II in detail) is the same, and you choose: to celebrate, rejoicing in birth (into another form of existence), or to mourn, grieve over death – you are free in your choice! (For the one who is dying or dying on a sinking ship, this world and everything in it does not matter (by the way, we all, having been born into this world, immediately begin to “drown,” die – move to the third phase of existence; this world is a ship that is sinking or burning, and it will definitely sink or burn (= the end of this world)) – and for each person, this happens at his death-birth (from phase II to phase III)): give him a lot of money or take away all his property, make him king or fire him from his job… – the dying person doesn’t care, for him all this has no significance. See, even death equalizes everything, and how much stronger is Eternity?!).

Did you understand (the elder asks those who are dozing off with confusion)?! Dzunyk, did you understand that there is no need to be sad about anything, and you can (and should) always rejoice?! – Didn’t understand! Okay, hang in there a bit, because Dzunyk is quite dense and also nervous and quarrelsome (scolds the elder: silly old man, how can I be happy when my phone was stolen, for which I saved money for five years, working like a slave on the galleys or like Papa Carlo, denying myself everything? The old rasp, indeed, has something wrong with his head…). But it is worth explaining until Dzunyk understands – because if he grasps even a little of the principle-idea, then we are sure that everyone will understand, provided they want to understand! Listen, Dzunyk: your phone, for which you saved money for 5 years, was stolen. Yes, now you can be sad, cry, weep because your dream, treasure was stolen – but since on earth all events are equivalent (in value) before Eternity (or even death), you can now (“hellishly deprived” by the theft of your phone) rejoice: for example, with the joy that someone stole a bag of garbage from you or some other rubbish that was bothering you, and you couldn’t bring yourself to throw it away; or with the joy that you were gifted a dreamed-of tractor with vertical take-off; or with the joy that you were gifted 1000 UAH in one bill; or mourn that the mother-in-law is already leaving – she stayed so little time with us; or with the joy that you were gifted … – name yourself what you would like to have, dreaming about which your heart rejoices! You have the full right to react in this way (with such emotions, such a reaction) – since all these events are equivalent from the perspective of Eternity! Therefore, when something is stolen from you (you “lost” something), you can think, be in the state, react as if you were gifted (you “acquired”) something much better, or you can take another event and react to this theft (or any other “loss”) with the measure of that joy.

Again, I say: they stole a phone, stole a bag of garbage, gifted a car or a lot of money – it’s all the same, but the emotions, reactions to each event are different, so choose the best, happiest emotion, and react with it to all events (since they are equivalent in value): the theft of a phone, the theft of garbage, winning a lot of money in the lottery, or getting married, or gaining world fame and recognition, or getting fired from work, etc. – Did you understand, Dzunyk?! I see, it’s slowly starting to sink in… A person chooses herself (or doesn’t choose, doesn’t think, doesn’t analyze – has every legal right, being free) to what (which situation) to equate a specific, given situation – and similarly to which (chosen by her to compare with a given event-situation) to react to it… Okay, let’s move on.”

(I’ll tell you a secret (just don’t let Dzunyk hear) – we spent so much time making him understand (with great difficulty – his “processor” even started to lag) about the stolen iPhone, that to explain to him the secret we are going to discuss next would probably take a week (in other words – it’s a long story), and your bus will arrive in a couple of hours (besides, we have explained it to him more than once before (see previous parts), but he has a very short memory, like a chicken’s, “a dumb chicken’s”; let Dzunyk reread the notes for now, and we will remind him (the principles of understanding) later, when you leave).
