“Glory to God for everything!”, and above all “Glory to God for the fall (transgression of the Law, violation of the commandment(s)!”. This joyful gospel truth is wonderfully illustrated by the parables of the Lord Jesus Christ (about the tax collector and the Pharisee (Luke 18), about the Loving Father (or as traditionally called: the parable of the prodigal son, or about the two sons) Luke 15). The elder son, like the Pharisee, said: I have never transgressed any of your commandments (Luke 15:29) – these “righteous” rejected the Grace of Salvation (Jesus Christ), did not realize their disastrous (godless) state, did not feel the need for a Savior (and there is no other way to Happiness! – only Jesus Christ!); but the prodigal son and the tax collector – fell a lot, transgressed the law (violated the commandments), sinned (realized the truth about themselves: that they are great sinners) and therefore came to their senses, repented and returned to the embrace of the Father-Love (to the Father’s house). Therefore, they (sinners who repent) say: “Glory (thank) God that I sinned (fell), because through this fall I came to my senses (like a sleepwalker who was going into an abyss and woke up (Ephesians 5:14)), to myself (Luke 15:17) and returned from the path to hell to Home! Glory to God for everything!”. Yes, yes, and for the fall, no matter how many there were! (– And what about the Pharisee and the elder brother, who refused to enter the Kingdom Feast and went (fell, flew) into the hell of self-egoism, – is it also “Glory to God for everything!” for them? – Yes, yes, and they will in due time (when they wake up, come to their senses, and repent) wholeheartedly thank for this moment (as for every moment of their lives): “Glory to God for everything!”. God is Love! Every person (sinner and righteous, godless and saint) is every moment in Paradise, by the Mercy-Love of the providence-care of the Father-Love, in the best conditions for achieving Happiness! But now our word is addressed to sinners who sin, sin a lot, not to “righteous”.
“Oh, if you were hot (the one who with all his spirit (in the Holy Spirit) runs-flies to the Kingdom of God – like in the picture of a sinner who repented) or cold (zealous, sincere, consistent in evil, in sin). But since you are not hot and not cold (lukewarm, wanting nothing (neither Heaven nor hell), if you wanted something, at least something (at least moved somewhere, were in motion); nowadays almost no one wants anything, desire-wanting appears only when they are beaten (when sorrow, illness, pain, suffering), and this desire – for the beating to stop (for it not to hurt, for the suffering to end), and as soon as the beating stops, the desire-wanting disappears!? Therefore, the Lord wakes up (sinners who do not repent) the lukewarm with sorrows, wars, troubles… so that they come to their senses and get off the path of death and firmly stand on the path of Repentance-Life!), then I will spit you out of My mouth” (Revelation 3:14-18).
Glory to God for everything!!! Always rejoice! Yes, yes – even when you have sinned (even more, even when you are going to sin, and when you sin – rejoice and thank God, begging Him to save you)! (These remedies are not dispensed without a prescription and are taken inpatient under the close supervision of the elder!!!).
(By the way, the Law (commandments) was given so that there would be transgressions, falls (see Galatians 3:19), so that people, falling (transgressing the Law, becoming transgressors), would realize their disastrous state (the disease of godlessness), come to their senses and, through faith in the Savior (Messiah) Jesus Christ, be saved. If you have sinned – and seen it, that is, your sin and realized that you are a sinner – glory to God! – now you know that you need a Doctor-Savior).
Someone asks: what about free will? The Lord Loves His creation, and therefore never violates the free will of any free being (neither human nor angel); we only pedagogically, metaphorically say that all people and angels are “tools” of God’s providence, “scalpels” in the hands of the Surgeon, that the Wise God-Love distributes all actions-desires-energies of all free beings wisely (preparing a cup with a cocktail of all wills in the most appropriate, best proportions for each hypostasis – for His beloved, Divinely Loved child); therefore, the freedom of human and angelic God does not touch: the killer wills to kill and kills, that is, presses the trigger, shooting to kill, to kill a person; when the bullet flies out of the barrel of the machine gun – the shooter has already killed in himself, realized his free will-wanting (sent the energy of death into the neighbor), but if this person is not yet due to die (not beneficial for the salvation of the soul), then the bullet will either ricochet (even if they shoot this person point-blank), or only wound him, etc., that is, with the one being killed everything will be as best as possible, most appropriately by God’s mercy. And so every moment with every person (both with the one who kills, and with the one being killed, with the offender and the offended)… (The devil and demons always want evil, but always do good, and so do people, being possessed by evil, want evil, but always do good – by the mercy of God, Who directs everything to good for everyone!). When we speak or think about God’s Providence, it is impossible not to exclaim after the apostle Paul: “Oh, the depth of the riches and wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and how inscrutable His ways. For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor? Or who has given a gift to Him that He might be repaid? For from Him and through Him and to Him are all things. To Him be glory forever. Amen.” (see Romans 11:33-36).
