Until the patient recognizes that he is sick, – he will not be treated, he does not need a Doctor, Savior (= Healer)! He needs a travel agent, a rewarder (for good deeds and merits), an employer, who will pay for ‘good’ deeds (!?), a pleasure-giver, a miracle-worker, who will show a few tricks-signs, etc. ‘You yourself are sick, and all of you there are sick’ – responds to the proposal to go to the doctor, or to call a doctor in case of paralysis, a proud, haughty patient, who does not know that he is (mortally) ill!? Ignorance – is a state of delusion, pride, and knowledge – righteousness – is a state of humility (humility-wisdom), the fruit of great knowledge (How few people know how much you need to know to realize that we know nothing). By ascetic humility – zealous fulfillment of God’s Commandments – we accept the indescribable Divine Humility. Jesus Christ, gentle and humble, drove the traders out of the temple, made a noise, overturning tables,… spoke sharply (in form) with the Pharisees and other deceivers; doing all this ‘evil’, Jesus was precisely humility!
Humility – is fire, it is zeal, it is standing in the truth…). Therefore, we pay a lot of attention to the knowledge of the path on which God-receptive humility is acquired…
Now in the church there is a great misfortune – no one declares anyone anymore, no one prepares anyone for baptism, for other Sacraments!? And those who try to do something, due to the lack of Eucharistic parishes, achieve meager results. When there are no living bearers of God’s commandments (parishioners, Spirit-bearers), there is no living example, then the fruit is only in those who sincerely seek the Truth, and do not look: who lives by the truth (if no one – then I will not)! There are almost none of these, most seek pleasure, not truth, and God is needed (if needed?!) only because He can provide eternal pleasure, but He Himself is not needed! It should be: if Christ is to the right, and the Truth is to the left, then I will not follow ‘Christ’, but the Truth! If Christ (Truth) is in hell, in a place of sorrows and sufferings, and I have the opportunity to get to Paradise – a place of pleasure and bliss (but without Christ), then I will go to hell, follow Christ! But where now in this adulterous and pleasure-seeking generation will you find those who so insanely Love Jesus Christ (as God loves us)?!
